Preschool

For children 4-5 years

In the Preschool section they can now develop their self-esteem so that they can mature spiritually and cultivate their creativity. Through the appropriate pedagogical program, adapted to the age of the children, we take care of their all-round development, emphasizing active and experiential learning. So we cultivate a multitude of abilities and skills of children. We encourage children to study the environment around them by expanding, experimenting and discovering, expressing their thoughts and experiences. We create a supportive framework of cooperation, interaction and communication of children with each other. In the field of creation and expression we bring children in contact with arts such as visual arts, theatrical play, movement and music. We offer rich stimuli by bringing them in contact with works of art, so that they develop a personal relationship with culture. Through these arts they enrich their potential to express in different ways and means, their thoughts and feelings. Children of this age are preparing for Kindergarten.

Small Preschool

For children 3-4 years old

In the Small Preschool: At this age of “what and why” and “young adolescence”, children are ready to learn and understand through the right stimuli, which sharpen their senses, and give answers to too many questions. The need is created for children to socialize with others but also in interaction with their environment! Their sociability develops in depth, the first stable friendships are created and children, autonomous from their personal needs, enter a framework of school life.

They learn about the world around them through the curriculum and at the same time cultivate oral speech, mobilize mathematical thinking, improve graphic skills and enhance their creativity through visual constructions.
The child operates in an organized, friendly, learning environment open and flexible such as school, with educational attitudes and practices that are in line with modern perceptions of children’s education.

Post-infant

For children 2-3 years old

At the Post-Infant Department we provide the appropriate conditions for young children to feel happy and safe. The love, affection, care, tenderness of our experienced educators enhances the smooth transition of the child from the family to the school community. Every child is prepared and encouraged to join as an equal member in the small social group of our school.

The educational program created by our many years of experience follows a single methodological approach that aims at the comprehensive development of the child and is based on experiential experience, play and discovery. They learn by playing, developing their speech, their coarse and fine mobility.

Transport

  • Our school has modern school buses. The transport of children is done safely and consistently by experienced guides and attendants. There is flexibility in the reception and return times of the children and the itineraries are performed in such a way that the children are in the buses as little as possible.
  • In case of absence of the child or any change, the Secretariat of our school should be informed.
  • The children are handed over by the bus attendant to the parent or to a familiar person, nominated by the parent. In case of necessary change of this person, the parent should contact the Secretariat in time and specify the identification of the person who will receive the child.
  • The cooperation of the parents is necessary in matters of consistency of schedules, understanding of the traffic problem of the city.
  • Areas served: Megara, Kineta, Ag. Theodoroi, Loutraki, Isthmus, Corinth, Kiato, Nemea.

The school takes care of and takes the most modern prevention measures:

Diet

  • The monthly diet plan changes according to the season and is written by a specialist nutritionist, guided by the Mediterranean diet, so that children acquire proper eating habits.
  • The food is prepared daily in the well-equipped kitchen with excellent ingredients, checked for their quality and origin and the exclusion of unnecessary animal fat or additional chemical agents but also with home care.
  • The fruit at breakfast is fresh seasonal.
  • Lunch is usually accompanied by bread, feta cheese and fresh seasonal salad (cabbage, lettuce, tomato, cucumber).
  • There are no fried foods in the diet that are not suitable for young children.
  • Please do not send food to school such as shrimp, chips, chocolates, chewing gum, sweets and anything that damages children’s teeth.

Pedagogical Support

  • We work with a Pedagogical Project Consultant.
  • Responsible for the creation, elaboration & supervision of pedagogical programs of our school & advisory training of pedagogues.

Psychological support

Our school has continuous and close cooperation with a specialized child psychologist throughout the school period. The child psychologist visits our station and stays all day watching the children in their wards during their working hours. Collaborates with educators and school management and with knowledge and scientific responsibility, intervenes in any case of difficulty presented to the child, in terms of learning or development.

Also, at regular intervals, a group meeting of parents is held with the psychologist and the educators, where issues that concern the parents regarding the education of their children are analyzed.

Pediatric Coverage

  • We monitor the health of children with a monthly presence of a pediatrician at school.
  • Any findings are evaluated and the parents are informed, with a medical opinion.
